Hey! Florent Drezet here
I've been a product designer for 8 years, on a path of continuous growth: web designer, then UX/UI designer, then product designer, within just two companies, which let me truly invest over time rather than collect short stints. Since 2025 I also work with companies and product teams as a freelance senior product designer.
What really drives me is designing a product as a whole so it actually gets used, not just shipped. I like contexts where you have to arbitrate between a creative vision, a technical constraint and a real user need, where the answer is never obvious upfront.
What connects those two roles is that same advocate's job: building a UX culture in companies where it was barely developed, first at Richardson, then, at a larger scale, at Homair Vacances, where I structured this practice working hand in hand with the product, marketing and engineering teams.
Career
It all started with a graphic-design diploma, then a professional bachelor's degree specialised in web creation, two years spent learning that good visuals are never enough to make a good product, as frustrating as that can be for someone coming from graphic design.
It was at Richardson, in Marseille, that I really learned the craft in the field: two years as a web designer, then a gradual move toward UX/UI design over several years. There was no formal UX role at the company. I built one piece by piece, project after project, up to co-leading the full website redesign with an external agency: my first real balancing act between creative vision and business reality.
Since 2023 I've been a product designer at Homair Vacances, where I found a broader and more demanding playground: the company's first formalised UX role, building on what I'd already started at Richardson — with everything that implies in terms of teaching, conviction and a bit of stubbornness to get people to accept that no, you can't guess what users want without ever asking them.

I live in Marseille and work in Aix-en-Provence, at Homair Vacances. For what comes next I'm open to partial or full remote. What matters more to me is the product context and the people building it.
